Around Lake Weir the work shifts from acreage to lakefront and lake-view lots, many with older homes, mature oaks and not much room to turn a machine around. Those jobs are about access and restraint: get in with the smallest machine that will do it, keep the tracks off the root zones, and leave the slope toward the water stable. Clearing along the shoreline itself generally needs a permit, so that conversation comes before anything else.
Toward the Ocklawaha River the ground drops into hardwood bottomland and wetland that nobody should clear without approvals, and we will point out where that line probably sits on your property. On the high scrub in between — sand pine, turkey oak and palmetto on deep sand — the usual job is a homesite and drive cleared, the rest mulched, and a pad built up where the sand is too loose to hold a slab without help.
