The Villages spreads across three counties and its northern edge reaches well into our home territory in south Marion. Inside the community the jobs are small and precise — a stump ground out flush behind a lanai, an overgrown drainage easement, a lot line cleaned up — and they come with deed restrictions, district rules and gate access to work around. Just outside the districts, along CR-42 and CR-466, it is ordinary acreage work again. We handle both, and we are used to keeping a job quiet, clean and finished inside a day when that is what the neighborhood requires.

Inside The Villages, the rules come from the deed restrictions and the architectural review process, and what is allowed depends on which village you are in. We ask for the approval on a tree or stump removal before we schedule, and we keep to the working hours the neighborhood expects. The practical challenges are space and finish: lanais, golf cart paths, irrigation heads and sod that has to look the same when we leave. That means a stump grinder instead of an excavator, mats under the wheels, and cleanup down to the rake.
Outside the districts, the land along CR-42, CR-466 and toward Lady Lake is sandy acreage and smaller parcels where we do conventional lot clearing, brush removal and pads for homes and garages. The most common Villages-area calls we get: stump grinding, removing a declining tree, clearing an overgrown lot line, and hauling off debris after a storm.
